The best affiliate marketing mentor is the one who’s a good fit for you. Not every mentor will be a good fit for you so it’s worth trying a few to see who you “click” with. To do that, you need to find a community of coaches and mentors. Get started with this free video series to learn about our community. You can also book a free call with me and see if we’re a good fit for each other.
Some coaches are better at certain aspects of affiliate marketing than others. For example, I met a great coach who was good at tracking. She explains how to set up your analytics so you can track your leads and sales through placing code on your website, checkout page and thank you page, for example. Another coach I met through our community helped me with understanding the mindset needed to overcome limiting beliefs.
I followed another great coach who ran question and answer webinars for a while. This was super helpful just to sit and watch because often other members would raise questions about stuff I struggled with.
Best Affiliate Marketing Mentor
There’s several topics which might be useful to you as an affiliate such as:
- Tracking – placing code and recording analytics for your affiliate business
- Mindset – overcoming limiting beliefs
- Goal setting – intention setting and developing a strong vision of what you want to create through your affiliate business
- Focus – getting focused on daily habits which support your long term success
- Clarity – getting clear on what you want from your affiliate business
Not every coach will offer the same perspective and coaches offer support and training based on their particular strengths. Some coaches I met haven’t actually build large online businesses themselves, so in terms of technical support they don’t offer much. But they can offer insights into your own mindsets and identify limiting beliefs and problems you might be unaware of.
So to determine the best coach for you, it’s a good idea to identify the area of affiliate marketing which you need to most help with. This is likely to be in an area with which you struggle and perhaps even avoid.
You’re The “Best” Mentor
The best affiliate marketing mentor will always be the one inside of you! Corny as it sounds this is actually true because only you know you! According to your personal situation and personality you’ll know what is best for you, even if a coach/mentor can help direct you.
For example, many affiliates succeed after using a large marketing budget to send many people to their products. But if your situation doesn’t allow for a large marketing budget, it might be that organic marketing methods are more suitable, such as blogging or video blogging.
While it’s still important to stretch your comfort zones as an affiliate, and try things you might not like, you’ll also be the best judge of what’s right for you. For example, I struggled putting myself on video for a while and eventually overcame that fear through practice, but it definitely didn’t come easily. As a result I spend a lot of time blogging, because it came more naturally for me.
