Without a coaching program it’s pretty tough being an affiliate. There’s so many avenues you can venture down, you can spend years at it without any concrete results to show for all your hard work. Time is far more valuable than money so it’s definitely worth getting help and support if you don’t want to waste it.
Part of the problem for me was a lack of money. That’s why I was looking for a means to earn online. So parting with any money at all was a problem. Unfortunately coaching does cost money, but it’s money well spent. Time with a coach will shave years off your affiliate journey. There’s so many things that can go wrong when you don’t know what you’re doing as an affiliate.

So far I’ve been a part of a community of online entrepreneurs for several years. I wasn’t always fully committed to my online business and I definitely lacked focus. At the same time as building an online business, I was attempting to build a career as a stuntman. This wasn’t easy but there were lots of spaces between work. I used this time as best I could to build my income through an online business.
However, I lacked a substantial income and work as a stunt performer was sporadic. So my budget was small and so I focused mainly on SEO – search engine optimisation for my affiliate sales. This is a difficult path to tread because SEO is super competitive, especially in the affiliate marketing niche. It’s far easier to choose something less competitive if you’re going down this route.
Paid advertising too is an easier route if you can afford it. With a paid advert you can run it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you get an advert performing, you’re on a winner! SEO is far more labour intensive and time consuming. So if you’re in full time employment, it’s worth spending budget getting the wheels spinning on your affiliate business through automation.
Affiliate Marketing Coaching Program – Time Management
Most of us aren’t taught time management. We are most likely coming from an employee background which means we turn up to a job and get paid for our time. With an online business it’s different. You don’t get paid for your time, only for your sales. So you need to optimise your time when working on your online business. Otherwise you can spend a lot of time and achieve nothing! Affiliate marketing is a performance based business so if you don’t make any sales you don’t get paid.
Focusing on money producing activities is what I was taught by one of my mentors. But before I found them, I wasted a huge amount of time online. This is why a coach can shave years off your journey. They can point you in the direction of the best marketing strategies, the best products and services to promote and the best ways to spend you time online for the maximum possible outcome.
Affiliate Marketing Coaching Program – Products To Choose From
There’s a huge number of affiliate products you can choose from and the choice alone is enough to completely overwhelm many affiliates who have just got started. I spent a long time trying to promote one product then another. I created hundreds of websites which ultimately failed over and over again.
From all this “failure” though I did learn a few things. But I could have saved a lot of time and energy simply by listening to someone who had build a 6 figure business online already!
For example, after joining the community I’m now a part of, I learned to sell products which paid more. Whereas before I sold super cheap products from Amazon, assuming that everyone was a broke as I was! The trouble with selling low value physical products is they paid the least. Whereas high ticket digital products pay the most.
They pay the most because they offer the most value and people need these products. Choosing products which people desire, want and need is a good start for any affiliate. Digital products pay between 30% and 40% commission compared to 1-10% for most physical products too.
Marketing Online & Customer Avatar
Marketing is the most important skill you’ll learn for selling anything online. It takes time and the journey is full of frustration. But like with anything you get out what you put in. Once you learn the skill to sell anything online, you can repeat that skill over and over.
The sales can be automated and you can sell almost any products in almost any country. The building of a 6 figure business online is built on the foundation of learning how to sell a single product. So learning that skill is definitely worth the price in blood, sweat and tears you might have to pay for it!
One final important nugget I learned is to understand who I was marketing to. This is known as the target audience or customer avatar. I didn’t fully understand this idea when I began as a newbie affiliate. The internet gives you access to billions of potential customers. But most of them don’t want whatever you’re selling! Zeroing in on the small slice of the online market place who is most interested in what you have to sell is done by getting to know your target audience or customer avatar.
